The Pittsburgh Penguins recalled defenseman Ryan Graves from a conditioning assignment with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton of the American Hockey League on Thursday afternoon.

Per the NHL’s media website, Graves remains designated to injured reserve with an undisclosed ailment.

After being assigned to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton on March 12, Graves appeared in two games for that club and scored one goal while being deployed primarily on the left side of the top pairing.

Graves, 30, has split the 2025-26 season between the NHL and AHL levels and has not played in an NHL game since Jan. 21.

With the NHL club, Graves has appeared in 19 games and scored one goal while averaging 15:29 of ice time per contest, primarily on the left side of the bottom pairing.

At the AHL level, Graves has played in 15 contests and scored 10 points (three goals, seven assists).

A left-handed shot, Graves is in the third year of a six-year contract with a salary cap hit of $4.5 million.
