Thursday’s game between the Pittsburgh Penguins and Detroit Red Wings at Detroit’s Little Caesars Arena has been rescheduled for start time a little after 8 p.m.

The contest originally was slated to begin shortly after 7 p.m. The NHL announced the rescheduling Tuesday.

This change was prompted by Game 4 of the American League Division Series between the Cleveland Guardians and Detroit Tigers at Comerica Park nearby.

The Penguins are scheduled to open their regular season Wednesday with a home contest against the New York Rangers (scheduled for after 7:30 p.m.) then will travel to Detroit.
