The Pittsburgh Penguins are scheduled to start goaltender Alex Nedeljkovic in Friday’s home game against the Florida Panthers at PPG Paints Arena.
Coach Mike Sullivan announced Nedeljkovic’s status following an optional morning skate.
In 15 games this season, Nedeljkovic has an 8-3-2 record, a 2.66 goals against average, a .916 save percentage and one shutout.
Throughout his career, Nedeljkovic has faced the Panthers in 10 games and has a 3-3-3 record, a 3.33 goals against averaged, a .904 save percentage and one shutout.
Notes:
• Injured Penguins defenseman John Ludvig and forward Reilly Smith each participated in the optional morning skate in full contact capacities, though morning skates typically do not include contact. Each player remains sidelined due to undisclosed ailments.
Ludvig is eligible to be activated from long-term injured reserve Saturday while Smith’s status remains indefinite.

The Panthers are scheduled to start goaltender Sergei Bobrovsky. In 35 games this season, Bobrovsky has a 22-10-2 record, a 2.53 goals against average, a .909 save percentage and two shutouts.
Throughout his career, Bobrovsky has played the PEnguins in 33 games and has a 17-10-6 record, a 2.73 goals against average and a .913 save percentage.
