The Pittsburgh Penguins are scheduled to start goaltender Tristan Jarry for Saturday’s home game against the Boston Bruins at PPG Paints Arena.

Jarry’s status was announced by coach Mike Sullivan approximately two hours before the opening faceoff.

In 41 games this season, Jarry has a 22-10-6 record, a 2.90 goals against average, a .910 save percentage and two shutouts.

The most recent of those shutouts came in his last game, a 2-0 home win against the Nashville Predators on Thursday in which he made 28 saves.

In two games against the Bruins this season, Jarry has a 0-0-1 record, a 4.56 goals against average and an .875 save percentage.

Notes:

• Penguins forward Josh Archibald has played in 399 career games.

• The opening faceoff is scheduled for 3:15 p.m. The NHL has falsely advertised the start as 3 p.m.

• This is the final meeting of the regular season between the Penguins and the Bruins. Penguins are 0-1-1 so far in the series. The last time the Bruins swept a regular season series against the Penguins came in 2015-16 (0-3-0).

• The Bruins are scheduled to start goatlender Jeremy Swayman. In 32 games this season, Swayman has a 20-6-4 record, a 2.21 goals against average, a .921 save percentage and four shutouts.

-Bruins forward Patrice Bergeron will be a scratch in order to rest an undisclosed injury according to coach Jim Montgomery.

• With a 2-1 overtime home win against the Columbus Blue Jackets on Thursday, the Bruins secured the Presidents’ Trophy as the NHL’s top team during the regular season. With that accomplishment, the Bruins have also secured home ice throughout the postseason.
