Penguins select forward Mac Swanson in 7th round
LAS VEGAS — In the seventh round of the NHL Draft, the Pittsburgh Penguins selected forward Mac Swanson of the Fargo Force, No. 207 overall.
In 55 games last season, he had 77 points (26 goals, 51 assists) and was named United States Hockey League Player of the Year.

Leading Fargo to the Clark Cup championship, he also was selected as the USHL’s posteason MVP.
A left-handed shot who was born in Alaska, Swanson (5-foot-8, 175 pounds) is committed to play for the University of North Dakota next season.
