Jones, 28, spent the 2024-25 season with the Los Angeles Kings organization, primarily at the American Hockey League level.

Jones (6-foot-1, 194 pounds) just completed a one-year, two-way contract with a salary cap hit of $775,000.

A fourth-round (No. 117 overall) draft pick of the Edmonton Oilers in 2015, Jones is entering his eighth NHL season. In addition to the Kings and Oilers, Jones has also played for the Chicago Blackhawks and Colorado Avalanche.

A native of Arlington, Texas, Jones is the son of former NBA forward Ronald “Popeye” Jones and the brother of Florida Panthers All-Star defenseman Seth Jones.
