Penguins sign defensive prospect Isaac Belliveau

The Penguins selected defenseman Isaac Belliveau of the Gatineau Olympique of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League in the fifth round of the 2021 NHL Draft.

The Penguins signed defensive prospect Isaac Belliveau to a three-year entry-level contract set to begin in the 2023-24 season.

A fifth-round pick (No. 154 overall) in the 2021 NHL Draft, Belliveau, 20, is currently a member of the Gatineau Olympiques of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL).

The left-hander has appeared in 44 QMJHL games this season and has 40 points (10 goals, 30 assists).

Belliveau (6-foot-2, 179 pounds) is eligible to join the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins of the American Hockey League next season.
