In our weekly hockey chat with Penguins Radio Network host Brian Metzer, we cover a lot of ground.
As the Penguins themselves will be doing over the next few weeks.
The club is on the road for its swing through Western Canada starting Tuesday night against the Calgary Flames, before games in Edmonton and Vancouver on Friday and Saturday.
Then the schedule gets really weird. Metz and I take a look.
Also, the latest issue facing the team seems to be going from injury to illness. We check in on the latest health report for the team.
Bryan Rust is one of the guys who is ill. Metzer tells us how badly. Hopefully Rust gets healthy quickly because he has been one of the best scorers on the team. We get into why his scoring touch has developed so nicely dating back to the second half of last season.
We also give a recovery update on Sidney Crosby, Marc-Andre Fleury in Spanish, finding the “Bills Mafia” of the NHL, a little analysis on the goaltending, and a look at that nutty overtime win against the Los Angeles Kings.
And, of course, we couldn’t wrap up the podcast without spending a moment or two on the outrageous ticket prices for that ’80s hair metal extravaganza at PNC Park this summer.
