Penguins’ struggles continue with shootouts

The Pittsburgh Penguins lost to the Carolina Hurricanes on Tuesday, 5-4, in a shootout at the Lenovo Center in Raleigh, N.C.

The result dropped their record in shootouts to 1-10 this season, by far the worst such mark in franchise history since the NHL introduced the shootout in 2005.

Here is a look at the Penguins’ year-by-year record in shootouts.
