Penguins to hold development camp for prospects

Forward Nathan Legare is scheduled to participate in the Penguins’ upcoming prospect development camp.

The Penguins will hold a development camp for prospects this weekend at their facility in Cranberry Saturday through Tuesday.

A total of 24 players have been invited to the camp:

Forwards (14) – Justin Almeida, Raivis Ansons, Shaw Boomhower, Jonathan Gruden, Filip Hallander, Sam Houde, Nathan Legare, Drew O’Connor, Kyle Olson, Sam Poulin, Valtteri Puustinen, Felix Robert, Lukas Svejkovsky, Josh Williams

Defensemen (7) – Niclas Almari, Isaac Belliveau, Cam Lee, Dylan MacPherson, Josh Maniscalco, Ryan McCleary, Will Reilly

Goaltenders (3) - Brett Brochu, Filip Lindberg, Tommy Nappier

Almari, Almeida, Gruden, Hallander, Lee, Legare, Maniscalco, O’Connor, Poulin, Puustinen and Reilly are signed to NHL contracts.

Belliveau (fifth round) and McCleary (seventh round) are members of the Penguins’ 2021 draft class.

Each session opens at 10 a.m. All sessions are open to the public.

Note: The Penguins’ formal training camp will open Sept. 23.
