Penguins to hold prospect development camp in July

The Pittsburgh Penguins will hold their prospect development camp next month at the team’s facility in Cranberry.

Among those expected to participated are first-round draft picks Owen Pickering (2022) and forward Brayden Yager (2022) as well as forward Tristan Broz, a 2021 second-round selection, and forwards Ville Koivunen and Cruz Lucius, each acquired in March via a trade that sent All-Star forward Jake Guentzel to the Carolina Hurricanes.

A full roster will be announced following the upcoming NHL Draft.

The schedule:

Saturday, July 6

9 a.m. – Goalie On-Ice Session

10 a.m. – Group 1 On-Ice Session

11 a.m. – Group 2 On-Ice Session

Noon – Group 3 On-Ice Session

Sunday, July 7

9 a.m. – Goalie On-Ice Session

10 a.m. – Group 2 On-Ice Session

11 a.m. – Group 3 On-Ice Session

Noon – Group 1 On-Ice Session

Monday, July 8

9 a.m. – Goalie On-Ice Session

9 a.m. – Group 3 On-Ice Session

10 a.m. – Group 1 On-Ice Session

11 a.m. – Group 2 On-Ice Session

Tuesday, July 9

9 a.m. – Goalie On-Ice Session

10 a.m. – On-Ice Session

Wednesday, July 10

Noon – 4-on-4 Tournament

All sessions are open to the public and free to attend.

Note: The Columbus Blue Jackets announced their schedule for the 2024 preseason, and it includes a pair of games against the Penguins (Oct. 3 at Columbus and Oct. 4 at Pittsburgh). The Penguins have yet to announce their full preseason schedule.
