The Pittsburgh Penguins are slated to start goaltender Tristan Jarry against the New Jersey Devils for Thursday’s game at PPG Paints Arena.

Coach Mike Sullivan announced Jarry’s status Thursday morning.

Jarry has appeared in 41 games this season — third-most in the NHL — and has a 25-10-6 record, a 2.29 goals-against average, a .922 save percentage and three shutouts.

In three games against the Devils this season, Jarry has a 2-1-0 record, a 2.68 GAA and a .910 save percentage.

Notes:

• The Penguins had a lightly attended optional morning skate. Those who participated included forwards Kasper Bjorkqvist, Teddy Blueger, Brian Boyle, Jake Guentzel and Dominik Simon; defensemen Marcus Pettersson and Chad Ruhwedel and goaltender Casey DeSmith.

Blueger remains on injured reserve because of a broken jaw.

The NHL announced a time change for the Penguins’ home game against the Carolina Hurricanes on March 13. The contest will begin at 1 p.m. It previously was slated to start at 6 p.m.

• Devils defenseman Dougie Hamilton is expected to be in the lineup after missing the past 17 games because of a broken jaw and covid-19.
