Penguins goaltender Tristan Jarry makes a save against forward Oskar Lindblom and the Philadelphia Flyers during the first period of a game at PPG Paints Arena on March 4.

The Penguins are scheduled to start goaltender Tristan Jarry for Tuesday’s road game against the Philadelphia Flyers at Wells Fargo Center.

Jarry’s status was announced via a statement from the team.

During Monday’s 7-2 road loss to the Flyers, Jarry replaced an injured Casey DeSmith to open the third period and allowed two goals on seven shots.

In 37 games this season, Jarry has a 23-9-3 record along with a 2.70 goals-against average, a .911 save percentage and two shutouts.

Notes:

• The team did not offer any specific updates on any other members of the roster, including DeSmith, who left the game after two periods because of an undisclosed injury, or forward Evan Rodrigues, who is considered “day to day” because of a suspected left ankle injury.

• The Flyers are expected to start goaltender Brian Elliott, who is slated to play in his 500th career game. In 27 games this season, Elliott has a 13-8-2 record along with a 3.02 GAA, an .890 save percentage and two shutouts.

Follow the Penguins all season long.
