The Pittsburgh Penguins will wear a fifth different jersey this season for their 37th game of the regular season Jan. 2 against the Boston Bruins at Fenway Park, a contest the NHL labels as the Winter Classic.

On Friday, the league unveiled the uniforms the Penguins and Bruins will wear for the contest.

The Penguins’ jersey is modeled after those worn by the NHL’s Pittsburgh Pirates franchise that competed in the 1920s.

This will mark the seventh different alternate jersey the Penguins will wear since 2017.

Jersey sales are typically a key component to hockey-related revenue for the NHL which dictates the structure of the league’s salary cap figures.

Follow the Penguins all season long.
