Pittsburgh Penguins head trainer Chris Stewart has received a prestigious award from his alma mater, IUP, being named one of the inaugural members of the school’s College of Health and Human Sciences Hall of Distinction.

Stewart has been the Penguins’ head trainer for 13 years. Including a year spent as the assistant trainer in Carolina in 2006, he has raised the Stanley Cup four times.

Stewart graduated from IUP with a degree in kinesiology, health and sport science in 1993 and a master’s in sport science in 1996.
