Penguins' upcoming home games postponed by Devils' covid-19 issues

The Penguins’ next two home games at PPG Paints Arena have been postponed indefinitely.

The Pittsburgh Penguins’ upcoming home games Tuesday and Thursday against the New Jersey Devils have been postponed indefinitely.

On Monday, the NHL announced four additional Devils players were added to the league’s covid-19 protocol-related absence list. They join the six Devils players already on that list prior to Monday.

Those listed include defensemen Connor Carrick, Sami Vatanen, goaltenders Mackenzie Blackwood, Aaron Dell, forwards Andreas Johnsson, Janne Kuokkanen, Michael McLeod, Kyle Palmieri Pavel Zacha and Travis Zajac

With 10 players sidelined, all Devils games will be postponed through Feb. 6.

As for the Penguins, after their game Monday night against the New York Rangers, their next scheduled game is Feb. 6, a road contest against the New York Islanders. The Penguins’ next home game is scheduled for Feb. 14 against the Washington Capitals.
