Penn State, Ohio State men's basketball teams will play rescheduled game Wednesday
The Penn State men’s basketball team’s game with Ohio State, postponed from Jan. 5 because of covid-related issues, has been rescheduled for this Wednesday at 7 p.m.
The game will be televised on the Big Ten Network. It takes the place of the Nittany Lions’ originally scheduled game with Michigan that has been postponed because of Michigan’s athletic department-wide covid pause.
The Buckeyes (12-4 overall, 6-4 Big Ten) are ranked No. 15 in this week’s Associated Press men’s top 25 poll. They bounced back from a two-point loss to Purdue on Jan. 19 with Saturday’s 74-62 win over No. 10 Wisconsin.
Penn State hopes to build on a two-game winning streak that snapped a five-game skid dating back to Dec. 13.
The Nittany Lions topped Rutgers, 75-67, last Thursday, and they followed that victory with a close 81-78 triumph over Northwestern on Saturday to improve to 5-6 overall. The two wins are their first two in seven total Big Ten matchups.
Junior guard Izaiah Brockington scored a game-high 21 points in the win over the Wildcats, while senior forward John Harrar grabbed 10 rebounds.
Brockington is second on the team in scoring at 14.7 points a game. Harrar leads the Nittany Lions with 8.2 rebounds a contest.
