Penn State’s Ashley Owusu had her name called Monday night at the WNBA Draft.

The graduate student guard was picked No. 33 overall by the Dallas Wings.

She is the 16th member of the Penn State women’s basketball team to be selected in the draft.

Owusu had 1,726 points in a five-year college career. She averaged 13.8 points over her career, including 18.1 ppg this season. She also averaged 5.6 rebounds.

She played 20 games at Penn State after stints at Maryland and Virginia Tech. In high school, she was the Gatorade Player of the Year in Virginia and ranked as the nation’s No. 1 point guard.

She was an All-Big Ten second team selection by the coaches and honorable mention selection by the media.
