Penn State lands latest Class of 2022 commitment, 4-star Ken Talley
Penn State landed another four-star recruit in the Class of 2022.
The Lions picked up a pledge from Philadelphia, four-star end/linebacker Ken Talley, on Tuesday. He is the first defender to join the six-member group and is the second junior-to-be to do so this month, as four-star offensive tackle Drew Shelton also did so back on Sept. 4.
The 247Sports’ Composite calls Talley the nation’s No. 165 player overall in his class.
Talley visited State College multiple times before the coronavirus shut down campus in March, and those trips were a key part of his decision to commit. Tennessee and Arizona State were the other finalists.
Penn State’s Class of 2022 includes, in reverse order of commitment date:
• Four-star defensive end Ken Talley (Philadelphia, Sept. 8)
• Four-star offensive tackle Drew Shelton (Downingtown West, Sept. 4)
• Four-star tight end Holden Staes (Atlanta, Ga., Aug. 13)
• Three-star quarterback Beau Pribula (York, Aug. 3)
• Four-star tight end Jerry Cross (Milwaukee, Wis., July 28)
• Four-star receiver Kaden Saunders (Westerville, Ohio, July 25)
