Penn State takes the field for an NCAA college football game against Washington amidst a “whiteout” crowd at Beaver Stadium, Saturday, Nov. 9, 2024, in State College.

There will be a sea of white shirts entering Beaver Stadium as the sun starts to set Sept. 27.

Penn State will host Oregon that night in a Big Ten showdown between national championship contenders, and the Nittany Lions announced Thursday that will be their annual White Out game in Happy Valley.

One of the most anticipated games of the college football season will kick off at 7:30 p.m. and be broadcast on NBC.

The Big Ten on Thursday also announced kick times and television designations for Penn State’s three nonconference games.

On Aug. 30, the Nittany Lions will open the season at home against Nevada at 3:30 p.m., with CBS televising. Penn State will welcome FIU at noon Sept. 6 on Big Ten Network and Villanova at 3:30 p.m. Sept. 13 on FS1.

Penn State will host Northwestern for the homecoming game Oct. 11 at either noon, 3:30 p.m. or 4 p.m., on a network to be determined.

The Nittany Lions’ remaining schedule — with kickoff times and television assignments still to be determined — includes games at UCLA (Oct. 4), vs. Northwestern (Oct. 11), at Iowa (Oct. 18), at Ohio State (Nov. 1), vs. Indiana (Nov. 8), at Michigan State (Nov. 15), vs. Nebraska (Nov. 22) and at Rutgers (Nov. 29).
