Scouting report: Rated as the No. 17 overall prospect by MLB.com, the No. 2 high school pitcher and top high school lefty. … Baseball America rated him No. 28 overall and the top high school lefty. … Committed to play at North Carolina. … During the draft broadcast on MLB Network, analyst Jonathan Mayo described Solometo as “very projectable, funky delivery.” … Baseball America analyst Ben Badler: “(Left-hander) with a lot of deception in his delivery and legit stuff.
