Pirates and Allegheny Health Network team up for 'Catch for Cancer'

Bring you glove for some baseball on the field at PNC Park.

The annual Catch for Cancer event is from 8:30 a.m. to noon on June 1. The Pittsburgh Pirates and Allegheny Health Network will host a baseball skills workshop with the opportunity to meet Pirates pitcher Jameson Taillon and first baseman Josh Bell.

There will be five stations – playing catch, catching pop-ups, fielding ground balls, throwing(complete with radar velocity) and batting practice.

The first 200 people to donate $100 will also receive two tickets to watch the Pirates take on the Milwaukee Brewers at 4:05 p.m. that day.

There will be a question and answer session in the PNC Park stands with some Pittsburgh Pirates, including Taillon and Bell at 11:30 a.m.

Proceeds benefit patient care at AHN Cancer Institute.
