The Pittsburgh Pirates’ Memorial Day home game Monday, May 25 against the Chicago Cubs has been changed to a 1:35 p.m. first pitch, a club spokesperson confirmed.

Originally, the holiday contest was slated for 6:40 p.m., but per the Pirates, the change was enacted in response to significant outreach on the part of season ticket holders, who expressed a preference for an earlier start.

The broadcast schedule for that game – SportsNet Pittsburgh on TV and 93.7 FM on the radio – remains unchanged.

The matchup kicks off a four-game series at PNC Park against the Cubs, which will be followed by three more games at home from May 29-31 against the Minnesota Twins.
