Pirates farm report: Despite perfect start from Paul Skenes, Indianapolis falls to 0-2
INDIANAPOLIS (Triple-A, 0-2) lost 4-3 to Louisville (Reds). RHP Paul Skenes made his first Triple-A start and pitched three perfect innings with five strikeouts. He hit 100 mph on the radar gun on 12 of the 46 pitches he threw. Veteran LHP Eric Lauer came on in relief and allowed three runs on three hits, including a homer, in 2⅔ innings. LHP Brady Feigl gave up a walk-off solo home run to Michael Trautwein in the ninth. RHP Brent Honeywell pitched 1⅓ scoreless innings and Colin Selby added a scoreless inning. Neither allowed a hit.
SS Liover Peguero (.400) went 2 for 5 with a double and two RBIs. 2B Nick Gonzales (.400) went 2 for 5 with a run scored. LF Billy McKinney (.375) was 2 for 3 with a double and a walk. CF Gilberto Celestino (.286) went 1 for 2 with a double and two walks. 1B Jake Lamb (.375) was 2 for 3 with a double, two walks and an RBI.
