Pirates farm report for April 1, 2023: Miguel Anduar smacks RBI single but Indy gets routed by Omaha

Indianapolis (Triple-A, 0-2) was pummeled 11-2 by Omaha (Royals) Saturday afternoon. Starting pitcher Caleb Smith allowed eight runs, all earned, in 4 2/3 innings on eight hits with five strikeouts and three walks. He gave up two homers, including a grand slam by Jackson Reetz in the fifth inning. Carmen Mlodzinski, Hunter Stratton and Yohan Ramirez surrendered an earned run each in relief. CF Travis Swaggerty doubled, 3B Mark Mathias singled twice and 1B Miguel Andujar had an RBI single.
