Pirates farm report for April 10, 2024: Nick Gonzales belts 2 more doubles, scores winning run for Indy

INDIANAPOLIS (Triple-A, 6-5) beat Toledo (Tigers), 4-3. LF Billy McKinney (.258) singled home 2B Nick Gonzales in the top of the ninth for the game-winning score. Gonzales (.391) finished 2 for 5 with a pair of doubles. 1B Jake Lamb (.371) was 2 for 4 with two singles and an RBI and RF Matt Gorski (.231) was 1 for 4 with an RBI single. SS Liover Peguero (.400) went 1 for 5 with a single and two strikeouts. LHP Eric Lauer (2.61) started and went 3⅔ shutout innings, allowing no hits and four walks while striking out five. RHP Kyle Nicolas (1.59) tossed 1⅓ innings of relief and allowed no hits and two walks. RHP Wily Peralta (10.50) gave up one unearned run on one hit in two innings. RHP J.C. Flowers (1-0, 12.27) yielded two unearned runs on one hit and fanned two, but got the win, and LHP Geronimo Franzua (0.00) picked up his third save.

RF Aaron Shackelford (.300) continued his hot streak by going 2 for 3 with a pair of doubles and three RBIs. 2B Jackson Glenn (.263) went 2 for 5 with a single and a double. 1B Seth Beer (.176) hit two singles and drove in two runs. C Abrahan Gutierrez (.313) hit two RBI singles. RHP Po-Yu Chen (10.80) started and went 3⅓ innings, allowing four runs on five hits, including a home run, and struck out one. RHP Eddy Yean (1-0, 4.50) allowed one run on two hits in 2⅔ innings and got the win. RHP Cameron Junker (0.00) allowed one hit and one walk while striking out one in an inning for his first save.

RHP Alessandro Ercolani (1-0, 0.00) started and went four shutout innings, allowing two hits and one walk and struck out five. RHP Drake Fellows (0.00) went 2⅔ innings of relief and allowed one hit, two free passes and struck out a pair. RHP Brandan Bidois (4.50) allowed the only run and walked two in his inning of relief.
