Pirates farm report for April 26, 2022: Indianapolis loses no-hitter in 9th
INDIANAPOLIS (Triple-A, 10-8) took a no-hitter into the ninth inning of a 4-0 win over Iowa (Cubs). RHP Yerry De Los Santos (1.29), Indy’s fourth pitcher, gave up a single to C PJ Higgins with one out in the bottom of the ninth. RHP Osvaldo Bido (3.00) started and went 3.2 innings, striking out four and walking five. LHP Cam Vieaux (1-0, 3.12) worked the next three innings, giving up one walk, to earn the win. RHP Eric Hanhold (3.86) pitched the next 1.1 innings with two walks and two strikeouts. 1B Mason Martin (.328) went 2 for 4 with a double and triple. SS Oneil Cruz (.203) went 1 for 5 with a double. C Taylor Davis (.133) was 2 for 3 with two RBIs.

ALTOONA (Double-A, 8-8) beat Akron (Guardians), 6-4. SS Liover Peguero (.327) continued his hot hitting with a 2-for-5 night with a double and an RBI single. 2B Nick Gonzales (.196) went 2 for 4 with an RBI double and a walk and DH Andrea Alvarez (.217) hit a solo homer and drove in two runs. LF Matt Fraizer (.161) went 1 for 5 at the plate but had an RBI double. RHP Carmen Mlodzinski (5.28) started and went four shutout innings and allowed only one hit while striking out two. LHP Zach Matson (1-1, 4.50) picked up the win with two shutout innings where he allowed only two hits. RHP Colin Selby picked up the save.

GREENSBORO (High-A, 6-10) lost to Rome (Braves) 17-1. The Grasshoppers did very little offensively and their pitching took a beating against Rome. The Grasshoppers lone run came in the first inning as CF Matt Gorski (.271), who went 1 for 4, came around to score. DH Abrahan Gutierrez (.235) went 1 for 1 with a walk and SS Maikol Escotto (.196) went 1 for 2. RHP Adrian Florencio (0-3, 11.45) started and went 1.1 innings, allowed nine runs, walked one, struck out two and gave up a home run to get the loss. RHP Grant Ford (3.60) came on in relief and allowed 2 runs on two hits in 2.2 innings. RHP Michell Miliano (15.43) pitched two ininngs and gave up four runs on four hits while striking out three.

BRADENTON (Low-A, 9-7) beat Dunedin (Blue Jays) 9-6. The Marauders got all their offense from just three players, but it was be all they needed against the Blue Jays. SS Tsung-Che Cheng (.305) went 4 for 5 with a double and a solo home run, 1B Jacob Gonzalez (.471) went 3 for 4 with a double and two RBIs and LF Rodolfo Nolasco (.200) went 3 for 4 with two doubles, a home run and drove in two runs. Starter Carlos Jimenez (2.16) went 3.2 ininngs and allowed one earned run on three hits, a home run and struck out four. LHP Nick Dombkowski (1-0, 1.69) came in and threw 3.1 innings of relief and allowed no runs or hits and struck out six to earn the win.
