Pirates farm report for April 4, 2023: Quinn Priester roughed up as Indy drops 4th straight
INDIANAPOLIS (Triple-A, 0-4) lost its fourth game in a row to start the season, falling to Louisville (Reds), 7-2. RHP Quinn Priester (14.73) started and was touched up for six runs, all earned, on nine hits and two walks in 3.2 innings. He struck out four. LHP Angel Perdomo (0.00) and RHP Carmen Mlodzinski (3.86) each worked a perfect inning of relief. RHP John O’Reilly (0.00) worked 1.1 scoreless innings. Both Indianapolis runs came on solo homers by 2B Tucupita Marcano and SS Chris Owings. Marcano (.500) went 2 for 3. Owings (.125) was 1 for 3. The rest of the Indians lineup went 0 for 24. 3B Nick Gonzales (.200) was 0 for 4 with three strikeouts. Louisville 1B Joey Votto, on a rehab assignment after offseason surgeries, went 1 for 5. CF Nick Senzel, rehabbing a toe injury, went 1 for 4 with a double.
