INDIANAPOLIS (Triple-A, 2-4) after losing its first four games of the season, Indianapolis swept a doubleheader from Louisville (Reds) on Thursday. In the first game, a 5-3 win, RF Travis Swaggerty went 1 for 3 and hit his first home run. RHP Luis Ortiz (1.08) allowed one run on three hits in 4.2 innings, striking out seven and walking one. LHP Daniel Zamora (1-1, 18.00) got the final out of the fifth to earn the win. RHP Yerry De Los Santos (13.50) got four outs for his first save. LF Tucupita Marcano (.500) went 2 for 4 with a double and two RBIs. 3B Mark Mathias went 2 for 2 with a walk.
In the second game, a 1-0 win, four Indianapolis pitchers combined on a two-hit shutout. RHP Osvaldo Bido (0.00) started and worked three innings, giving up one hit and fanning three. RHP Cody Bolton (1-0, 5.40) pitched the next two innings, giving up one hit and striking out two, to earn the win. RHP Yohan Ramirez retired all five batters he faced, four by punchout, before LHP Angel Perdomo struck out the last batter to earn the save. Swaggerty (.292) went 3 for 4 with a triple and scored the game’s only run on a triple by Marcano (.474) in the first inning. DH Nick Gonzales (.250) went 2 for 3.

ALTOONA (Double-A, 0-1) was knocked around by New Hampshire (Blue Jays) in its season opener. RF Matt Gorski went 2 for 3 with a home run. LF Connor Scott went 1 for 4 with a double and an RBI. 1B Mason Martin went 1 for 5 with a double and two strikeouts. RHP Kyle Nicolas started and gave up three runs on one hit and four walks in 4.2 innings. He struck out five. RHP Aaron Shortridge was touched up for four runs on three hits and two walks in two-thirds of an inning.
