Pirates farm report for Aug. 10, 2024: Thomas Harrington takes loss for Indianapolis

INDIANAPOLIS (Triple-A, 51-58) managed five hits in a 3-0 loss to Nashville (Brewers). 1B Malcom Nunez (.266) and 2B Alika Williams (.311) each went 1 for 4 with a double. 2B Nick Yorke (.322) went 1 for 2. RHP Thomas Harrington (0-1, 6.10) started and gave up two runs on four hits, including two homers, in 4⅔ innings. He walked two and struck out five. RHP Isaac Mattson (3.71) allowed one run on three hits in 3⅓ innings. He walked two and fanned three.

ALTOONA (Double-A, 45-62) lost 10-4 to Portland (Red Sox). RHP Emmanuel Chapman (3.43) started and pitched three scoreless innings, allowing no hits and three walks with four strikeouts. RHP Drake Fellows (2-4, 5.29) then came on and gave up nine runs on seven hits, including three homers, in 2⅓ innings. C Carter Bins (.211) went 1 for 4 with his eighth homer. 2B Tsung-Che Cheng (.234) went 2 for 4. 3B Jackson Glenn (.194) went 2 for 4 with a run scored.

GREENSBORO (High-A, 62-44) split a doubleheader with Rome (Braves).

In the first game, a 2-1 Grasshoppers win in eight innings, RHP Garrett McMillan (0.00) started and pitched three scoreless innings, allowing two hits and two walks with five strikeouts. RHP Darvin Garcia (5.17) gave up one hit and one walk in two scoreless innings. RHP Elijah Birdsong (4.08) also threw two scoreless frames, allowing no hits and two walks. Greensboro managed just three hits, all singles. SS Kalae Harrison (.156) went 1 for 3 with an RBI. 2B Mitch Jebb went 1 for 3 with a run scored.

In the second game, a 7-4 Rome win in eight innings, DH Josiah Sightler (.211) went 1 for 3 with a two-run homer, his 13th. LF Hudson Head (.219) went 1 for 4 with his 11th homer. SS Maikol Escotto (.212) went 2 for 3. Jebb (.248) played center field and went 1 for 4 with an RBI. RHP Carlson Reed (0.00) started and went five innings, allowing four runs, none earned, on five hits. He walked three and struck out seven. RHP Mike Walsh (2.08) pitched 1⅓ scoreless innings of relief, allowing one hit and fanning three.
