Pirates farm report for Aug. 23, 2025: Oneil Cruz triples on rehab stint with Altoona

INDIANAPOLIS (Triple-A, 72-52) collected six hits in a 4-0 loss to Syracuse (Mets). RF Nick Yorke (.282) went 2 for 3 with a walk. DH Rafael Flores (.245) went 1 for 4 with a double. RHP Drake Fellows (7-6, 5.03) started and went five innings, allowing three runs, two earned, on five hits with three walks and a strikeout. LHP Evan Sisk (4.63) and RHP Chase Shugart (0.00) each pitched a scoreless inning of relief.

ALTOONA (Double-A, 58-60) doubled up Reading (Phillies), 4-2. CF Oneil Cruz, on a rehab assignment (concussion), went 1 for 4 with a triple, run scored and RBI. SS Konnor Griffin (.263) went 1 for 3 with a walk, run scored, RBI and two stolen bases to run his season total to 62. In the fifth, Cruz tripled and Griffin drove him in with a single. DH Termarr Johnson (.268) went 2 for 4 with a double and run scored. RF Esmerlyn Valdez (.227) went 1 for 4 with an RBI. 2B Kervin Pichardo (.205) went 2 for 3. WHP Antwone Kelly (2.91) started and went three innings, allowing two runs on seven hits with no walks and two strikeouts. RHP Po-Yu Chen (4-9, 5.44) followed with three scoreless innings. LHP Jaden Woods (4.86) threw two scoreless innings. LHP Tyler Samaniego (3.20) worked a perfect ninth for his third save,

RHP Peyton Stumbo (1-2, 3.63) started and went five innings, allowing one run on three hits with one walk and six strikeouts. LHP Victor Cabreja (7.50) followed with three scoreless innings and RHP Jack Carey (3.83) worked a no-hit ninth with two strikeouts.
