Pirates farm report for Aug. 26, 2025: Rafael Flores belts 2 homers; 3 Curve pitchers combine on 2-hit shutout

INDIANAPOLIS (Triple-A, 73-53) gave up two in the top of the eighth and lost 5-4 to Buffalo (Blue Jays). C Rafael Flores (.255), acquired from the Yankees in the David Bednar trade, went 2 for 4 with two homers, his 18th and 19th. He drove in four. SS Cam Devanney (.262) went 1 for 4 with a triple and run scored. 3B Alika Williams (.288) went 3 for 5 with a run scored and his fifth stolen base. 2B Tsung-Che Cheng (.223) went 2 for 3 with a walk. LHP Nick Dombkowski (6.23) started and went four innings, allowing two runs on four hits with two walks and five strikeouts. LHP Tim Mayza (4.50) gave up one run on three hits in two innings. RHp Justin Lawrence (6.75) allowed one run on no hits and two walks in 1⅓ innings. RHP Beau Burrows (5.25) pitched a scoreless ninth. RHP Cam Sanders (2-2, 2.70) gave up a run on a hit and two walks in two-thirds of an inning to take the loss.

ALTOONA (Double-A, 60-60) used three pitchers in a two-hit shutout, beating Harrisburg (Nationals), 8-0. RHP Wilber Dotel (4.38) started and gave up one hit in five innings, walking two and fanning four. RHP Michael Walsh (4.00) threw two no-hit innings with a walk and three strikeouts. RHP Valentin Linarez (3.38) gave up one hit over the final two innings. 3B javier Rivas (.211) went 2 for 5 with his second homer. SS Konnor Griffin (.280) went 1 for 4 with a double, walk, run scored and RBI. LF PJ Hilson (.270) went 2 for 4 with a double, run scored and RBI. RF Esmerlyn Valdez (.234), 1B Duce Gourson (.262) and C Omar Alfonzo (.215) each went 2 for 5 with a run scored and RBI. CF Mitch Jebb (.266) went 0 for 2 with two walks and two stolen bases to run his season total to 32.

GREENSBORO (High-A, 83-37) beat Wilmington (Nationals), 5-3. RF Titus Dumitru (.241) went 1 for 4 with a three-run homer, his eighth. 2B Keiner Delgado (.235) went 1 for 4 with a two-run homer, his 14th. DH Callan Moss (.387) went 3 for 4 with a double, run scored and his second stolen base. C Will Taylor (.241) went 1 for 4. The rest of the lineup went 0 for 14. LHP Connor Wietgrefe (6-3, 3.29) started and went six innings, allowing two runs on four hits, including a homer, with no walks and four strikeouts. RHP Jaycob Deese (4.04) pitched a scoreless seventh and RHP Jack Carey (3.76) threw a scoreless ninth for his fourth save.

BRADENTON (Low-A, 56-64) was clobbered by Tampa (Yankees), 13-2. LHP Reinold Navarro (0-1, 18.56) started and recorded one out, walking four and giving up two runs. RHP Cesar Aquino (8.44) came on and gave up six runs on six hits in 2⅔ innings. RHP David Matoma (4.42) pitched a scoreless inning and RHP Jose Garces (3.51) threw 1⅓ scoreless innings. 1B Richard Ramirez (.256) went 1 for 4 with a double and run scored. 3B Brent IRedale (.219) went 1 for 2 with a walk, RBI and his third stolen base. 2B Jhonny Severino (.212) went 2 for 4. C Edgleen Perez (.204) went 1 for 3 with an RBI.
