RF Bligh Madris (.258) hit an RBI double in his lone at-bat. 2B Tucupita Marcano (.190) went 1 for 5 with a single and a run scored. On rehab assignments, SS Erik Gonzalez (.286) went 0 for 3 with a strikeout and 1B Colin Moran (.263) went 0 for 2 with two walks. CF Jared Oliva (.192) went 2 for 4. Cole Tucker (.236) played right field and shortstop and went 0 for 3 with two strikeouts.

ALTOONA (Double-A, 42-34) beat Akron (Indians), 5-4 in 12 innings. 2B Ji-hwan Bae went 2 for 6 (.274) with the game-winning RBI single. RHP Will Gardner (2-4, 7.98) pitched two scoreless innings to earn the win. RHP Osvaldo Bido (5.15) started and went six innings, giving up two runs on four hits with two walks and five strikeouts. SS Diego Castillo (.272) went 2 for 5 with an RBI. RF Jack Suwinski (.176) went 1 for 3 and drove in a run.

GREENSBORO (High A, 49-30) was mauled by Hickory (Rangers), 15-3. RHP Grant Ford (6-2, 4.96) started and took the loss, surrendering five runs on six hits, including three home runs. RHP Garrett Leonard (6.31) was tagged for eight runs on five hits in two innings of relief, giving up two homers. 1B Aaron Shackelford (.214) went 1 for 4 with his 17th home run. 3B Jared Triolo (.299) went 2 for 4 with two RBIs. RF Matt Gorski (.216) went 2 for 4 with a double.
