Pirates farm report for Aug. 3, 2023: Miguel Andujar homers again in Indianapolis win

INDIANAPOLIS (Triple-A, 50-54) took care of Gwinnett (Braves), 7-4. LF Miguel Andujar (.365) went 3 for 6 with his 15th homer and two runs scored. 3B Domingo Leyba (.435) went 2 for 3 with two runs scored, an RBI and two walks. 1B Mason Martin (.211) went 2 for 4 with a triple and a pair of RBIs. DH Aaron Shackelford (.230) went 1 for 3 with two runs scored, an RBI and two walks. C Luis Hernandez (.200) went 1 for 4 and drove in a pair. RHP Travis MacGregor (3.97) started and went 2.2 innings, allowing three runs on five hits with three strikeouts. RHP John O’Reilly (2-3. 4.29) picked up the win, giving up one run on two hits and two walks in three innings. LHP Braeden Ogle (0.00) worked 1.1 scoreless innings and RHP Hunter Stratton struck out five over two scoreless innings to earn his third save.

ALTOONA (Double-A, 46-49) blanked Richmond (Giants), 6-0. RHP Sean Sullivan (3-4, 4.26) started and gave up three hits in five innings, striking out a pair. LHP Omar Cruz (5.02) gave up one hit in 1.2 innings, RHP Cameron Junker (3.72) allowed one hit in 1.1 innings and RHP Tahnaj Thomas (5.34) worked a scoreless ninth. 2B Jackson Glenn (.238) went 2 for 4 with his third home run, a three-run shot. RF Lolo Sanchez (.220) went 2 for 4 with his fifth homer, a double and a pair of RBIs. SS Tsung-Che Cheng (.263) went 2 for 4. C Claudio Finol (.236) went 1 for 2 with a run scored, two walks and his fourth stolen base.

GREENSBORO (High-A, 51-45) doubled up Asheville (Astros), 6-3. LF Sammy Siani (.233) went 3 for 3 with two doubles, two runs scored and two RBIs. DH Malcom Nunez (.400) went 2 for 2 with a double, a run scored, three RBIs and two walks. 1B Josiah Sightler (.333) was 2 for 4. RF Tres Gonzalez (.277) went 1 for 4 with a walk and a run scored. 2B Termarr Johnson (.000) was 0 for 3 with a walk, a run scored and his first stolen base with Greensboro. RHP Po-Yu Chen (5-6, 4.00) was the winning pitcher, allowing one run on one hit with no walks and seven strikeouts in five innings. LHP Mitchell Miller (7.22) RHP Ryan Harbin (9.00) and LHP Cy Nielson (4.34) each worked a scoreless inning of relief. Nielson picked up his 10th save.

RHP Owen Kellington (4.35) started and went four innings, giving up two runs on two hits and three walks with six strikeouts. RHP Jorge Ramon (1.80) pitched 1.1 scoreless innings. RHP Landon Tomkins (0-1, 10.80) allowed two runs on two hits and two walks in two-thirds of an inning to take the loss.
