Pirates farm report for Aug. 5, 2025: Konnor Griffin homers in Greensboro win

INDIANAPOLIS (Triple-A, 65-43) lost 7-6 to Omaha (Royals) in 10 innings. RHP Bubba Chandler (3.69) started and went 4⅔ innings, allowing three runs on eight hits, including a homer. He walked one and struck out seven. RHP Chase Shugart (0.00) threw a no-hit seventh. RHP Eddy Yean (6-4, 2.87) gave up one unearned run on no hits in two innings to take the loss. LF Ronny Simon (.304) went 2 for 4 with his 26th stolen base. RF Matt Fraizer (.286) went 3 for 5 with a double, run scored and two RBIs. 3B Alika Williams (.262) went 2 for 5 with a run scored and two RBIs.

ALTOONA (Double-A, 50-52) beat Hartford (Rockies), 6-5. CF Mitch Jebb (.261) went 4 for 4 with a run scored and RBI. LF Sammy Siani (.204) went 3 for 4 with two triples and two runs scored. 1B Nick Cimillo (.221) went 2 for 3 with a double and his 11th homer. C Omar Alfonzo (.182) went 1 for 3 with a double and two RBIs. DH Tres Gonzalez (.252) went 1 for 2 with a run scored, RBI and two walks. RHP Po-Yu Chen (5.91) started and went three innings, allowing three runs on two hits and two walks. RHP Emmanuel Chapman (6-2, 2.94) gave up one run on two hits in 2⅔ innings to pick up the win. He struck out six. RHP Wilkin Ramos (1.51) recorded the last four outs, three by strikeout, to record his seventh save.

GREENSBORO (High-A, 72-30) beat Asheville (Astros), 6-3. SS Konnor Griffin (.313) went 1 for 5 with a two-run homer, his fifth with the Grasshoppers. DH Shalin Polanco (.236) went 2 for 5 with a run scored and his ninth stolen base. 1B Callan Moss (.214) went 1 for 4 with a double, run scored and RBI. LF Lonnie White Jr. (.222) went 1 for 1 with three walks and a run scored. RHP Khristian Curtis (4.27) started and allowed three runs, one earned, on six hits, including a homer, in 3⅔ innings. LHP Julian Bosnic (4-2, 3.40) followed with 1 ⅓ scoreless innings with three strikeouts to earn the win. RHP Landon Tomkins (2.54) and RHP Michael Walsh (2.44) each threw two scoreless innings to close it out.
