Pirates farm report for July 10, 2025: Bubba Chandler fans 7 in 6 scoreless innings

INDIANAPOLIS (Triple-A, 53-36) blanked Gwinnett (Braves), 3-0. RHP Bubba Chandler (4-2, 2.82) had his second straight scoreless outing, allowing five hits and two walks with seven strikeouts in six innings. RHP Eddy Yean (2.61) and RHP Cam Sanders (1.64) each threw a scoreless inning before RHP Kyle Nicholas (3.81) pitched a scoreless ninth for his third save. LF Ronny Simon (.314) went 1 for 4 with his seventh homer. 3B Alika Williams (.253) went 1 for 3 with a double and a run scored. RF Ji Hwan Bae (.288) went 2 for 4 with a triple, run scored, RBI and his 12th stolen base. DH Matt Fraizer (.281) went 1 for 2 with a walk and his 10th stolen base.

ALTOONA (Double-A, 39-44) was held to four hits in a 2-1 loss to Binghamton (Mets). RF Sammy Siani (.203) went 1 for 4 with his third home run. DH Esmerlyn Valdez (.222) went 1 for 3 with a double and a walk. C Omar Alfonzo (.241) and 2B Mike Jarvis (.238) had singles. RHP Antwone Kelly (1.17) started and went 4 ⅔ innings, giving up one run on four hits with two walks and nine strikeouts. RHP Brandan Bidois (0.00) pitched 1 ⅓ scoreless innings and RHP Wilkin Ramos (1.62) threw a scoreless eighth. RHP Beau Burrows (0-1, 0.59) gave up one run on one hit and one walk in one inning to take the loss.

GREENSBORO (High-A, 57-26) split a doubleheader with Bowling Green (Rays) with both games going extra innings.

Greensboro won the first game 5-4 with three runs in the bottom of the ninth. 3B Javier Rivas and CF Titus Dumitru (.244) hit RBI singles and C Geovanny Planchart hit the game-winning sacrifice fly. Rivas went 2 for 4 with two runs scored. Dumitru went 3 for 4 with a double. RF PJ Hilson went 2 for 4 with his eighth home run, two runs scored and two RBIs. The trio had all seven of Greensboro’s hits. RHP Peyton Stumbo (2.31) started and went five innings, allowing two runs, one earned, on three hits with two walks and two strikeouts. RHP Landon Tomkins (2.21) and RHP Michael Walsh (2.35) each pitched a scoreless inning. RHP Jarod Bayless (3-0, 3.68) gave up two runs, one earned, on one hit – a home run – but earned the win.

Greensboro lost the second game 6-4 in nine innings. RF Will Taylor (.235) went 1 for 2 with a double and an RBI. Hilson (.245) went 1 for 5 with a double and a run scored. 2B Keiner Delgado (.241) went 1 for 3 with a walk, RBI and his 17th stolen base. Rivas (.288) went 1 for 3 with a run scored and RBI. Planchart (.154) went 1 for 4 with a double and an RBI. RHP Khristian Curtis (4.90) started and gave up three runs on four hits, including a homer, in three innings. RHP Jake Shirk (1.29) threw two no-hit innings and RHP JP Massey (7.03) and RHP Joshua Loeschorn (0.00) each pitched a perfect frame before RHP Carlos Jimenez (1-2, 4.54) gave up three runs, one earned, on three hits in two innings to take the loss.

BRADENTON (Low-A, 40-43) lost 5-3 to St. Lucie (Mets). 2B Yordany De Los Santos (.249) went 1 for 5 with his ninth home run and two stolen bases to run his season total to 34. 3B Jhonny Severino (.199) went 1 for 5 with his eighth homer. RF Andrew Patrick (.091) went 1 for 3 with a walk, RBI and his second stolen base. CF Braylon Bishop (.200) went 1 for 3 with a walk and a run scored. DH Edward Florentino (.305) went 1 for 3 with two walks and two stolen bases, his eighth and ninth. LHP Victor Cabreja (2.49) started and pitched 5⅔ scoreless innings, allowing four hits and two walks with one strikeout. RHP Noah Takacs (3.53) pitched two scoreless innings.
