Pirates farm report for July 18, 2025: Bubba Chandler knocked around in Indy loss

INDIANAPOLIS (Triple-A, 54-38) lost 6-1 to Nashville (Brewers) in a game shortened to six innings by rain. RHP Bubba Chandler (4-3, 3.27) started and was knocked around, giving up five runs on eight hits, including two homers, with two walks and four strikeouts. 1B Nick Solak (.361) went 1 for 2 with an RBI. SS Cam Devanney (.273), making his Indy debut after being acquired from Kansas City on Wednesday, went 1 for 3. 2B Tsung-Che Cheng (.221) went 1 for 2.

ALTOONA (Double-A, 42-45) beat Akron (Guardians), 2-1, when SS Maikol Escotto (.133) scored on a walk-off wild pitch in the bottom of the 10th. RHP Johan Oviedo (2.70) started as his rehab assignment from Tommy John surgery reached Double-A. He allowed one run on three hits with no walks and three strikeouts in 3 ⅓ innings. RHP Alessandro Ercolani (3.61) pitched 3⅔ scoreless innings, allowing one hit. LHP Blake Townsend (1.15) threw two no-hit innings and RHP Wilkin Ramos (3-2, 1.54) pitched a scoreless 10th to earn the win. The Curve had five hits. CF Mitch Jebb (.254) went 1 for 4 with a double and an RBI. 1B Duce Gourson (.211) went 2 for 5 with his fourth stolen base. 2B Termarr Johnson (.247) went 1 for 3 with two walks and his 13th stolen base. LF Jase Bowen (.258) went 1 for 3 with a double.

GREENSBORO (High-A, 61-26) beat Winston-Salem (White Sox), 6-2. CF Will Taylor (.253) went 1 for 3 with a three-run homer, his fourth, a walk and two runs scored. 2B Keiner Delgado (.246) went 2 for 5 with a double and an RBI. LF Shalin Polanco (.221) went 1 for 3 with a double, walk and two runs scored. C Derek Berg (.258) went 2 for 4 with a run scored and RBI. 1B Justin Miknis (.205) went 2 for 3 with a walk, run scored and RBI. RHP Khristian Curtis (4-4, 4.80) picked up the win, allowing two runs on four hits in five innings. He walked one and struck out four. RHP Peyton Stumbo (2.13), RHP Jack Carey (4.14), RHP Landon Tomkins (2.09) and RHP Jarod Bayless (3.24) each pitched a scoreless inning.

BRADENTON (Low-A, 41-46) took out Jupiter (Marlins), 8-3. C Richard Ramirez (.315) went 3 for 4 with a walk, run scored and two RBIs. SS Yordany De Los Santos (.242) went 1 for 5 with a double and four RBIs. CF Edward Florentino (.292) went 1 for 4 with a double, run scored, RBI and his 13th stolen base. 3B Jhonny Severino (.199) went 1 for 5 with a double and run scored. RHP Zander Mueth (6.23) started and gave up one run on three hits in 2⅓ innings. He walked four and struck out two. RHP Owen Kellington (1-0, 6.75) picked up the win, allowing one run on two hits in three innings. RHP Clevari Tejada (4.00) pitched two scoreless innings.
