He struck out nine and allowed a home run. 1B Christian Bethancourt (.284) went 2 for 4 with his sixth home run and three RBIs. CF Anthony Alford (.311) went 1 for 3 with his ninth home run, a walk and two runs scored. 2B Ethan Paul (.195) went 2 for 3 with a double.

ALTOONA (Double-A, 38-30) shellacked Somerset (Yankees), 7-1. 1B Mason Martin (.272) went 1 for 4 and hit his 19th home run, scoring and driving in two. CF Daniel Amaral (.250) went 3 for 4, hit his fourth homer and scored three runs. RF Cal Mitchell (.288) went 1 for 3 with his 11th home run, a three-run shot. LF Canaan Smith-Njigba (.286) went 2 for 4 and stole his 13th base. LHP Cam Vieaux (5-1, 3.68) went six innings, allowing one run on three hits with four strikeouts. RHP John O’Reilly pitched two scoreless innings of relief.

GREENSBORO (High A, 41-29) five-hit Greenville (Red Sox) and won, 6-0. RHP J.C. Flowers (4-1, 3.08) allowed four hits and two walks in six innings, whiffing four. RHP Alexander Manasa gave up one hit in three innings to pick up his first save. DH Blake Sabol (.333) went 3 for 4, hit his fifth home run and doubled. 3B Jared Triolo went 1 for 4 with his seventh homer. 2B Nick Gonzales (.253) went 2 for 5. SS Liover Peguero (.246) went 0 for 4, walked and stole his 15the base.

BRADENTON (Low A, 43-28) recorded two hits in a 3-1 loss to St. Lucie (Mets). SS Maikol Escotto (.270) went 1 for 3 and hit his fifth home run. C Endy Rodriguez (.274) went 1 for 3 with a walk. RHP Adrian Florencio (2.51) pitched five scoreless innings, allowing four hits. RHP Ryan Troutman (2-1, 9.95) gave up three runs in the sixth and took the loss. RHP Wandi Montout (8.83) finished up with two scoreless innings.
