Pirates farm report for July 25, 2025: Billy Cook hits 8th homer, but Indians fall to Toledo

INDIANAPOLIS (Triple-A, 59-40) fell to Toledo (Tigers), 4-3. CF Billy Cook (.256) hit a two-run homer, his eighth of the season. LF Ji Hwan Bae (.292) tripled. C Brett Sullivan (.204) had an RBI single. RF Matt Fraizer (.295) was 2 for 4 with a run scored. SS Tsung-Che Cheng (.221) doubled. DH Cam Devanney (.272) was 1 for 2 with a walk. RHP Drake Fellows (4.18) started and extended his scoreless streak to 14 innings, allowing no runs on five hits with a walk and two strikeouts. RHP Kyle Nicolas (2-2, 4.01) took the loss after giving up two runs on three hits with two walks and two strikeouts in 1 1/3 innings.

ALTOONA (Double-A, 44-49) was blanked by Chesapeake (Orioles), 7-0. LF Jase Bowen (.250) and DH Nick Cimillo (.220) had the only hits for the Curve. Cimillo doubled. RHP Antwone Kelly (2-1, 2.84) allowed four runs on seven hits with a walk in five innings and took the loss. RHP Valatin Linarez (3.69) threw a scoreless ninth with one hit and one walk allowed.

GREENSBORO (High-A, 66-27) edged Brooklyn (Mets), 2-1. 2B Keiner Delgado (.252) hit a solo homer. RF Will Taylor (.254) was 2 for 3. C Derek Berg (.217) was 2 for 4 with a double. SS Konnor Griffin (.313) was 0 for 2 with a walk. 1B Jesus Castillo (.248) doubled. RHP Hung-Leng Chang (5.14) allowed two hits and one run with four strikeouts in four innings. LHP Connor Oliver (3-2, 5.87) earned the win after allowing one hit with two walks in two innings of relief.

BRADENTON (Low-A, 43-50) split a doubleheader with Clearwater (Phillies). In Game 1, Clearwater won 4-3 on a walk-off sacrifice fly in the 11th inning. 3B/SS Yordany De Los Santos (.245) hit a solo homer. RF Eddy Rodriguez (.220) was 2 for 5 with a solo homer. C Richard Ramirez (.250) hit a solo home run in the ninth. RHP Jose Garces (1-3, 3.41) took the loss after giving up an unearned run on one hit with a walk and strikeout in 2 1/3 innings of relief.

Bradenton won 6-2 in Game 2. CF Edward Florentino (.283) was 2 for 5 and smacked a two-run home run. 3B Jhonny Severino (.203) hit an RBI single. Rodriguez hit a two-run double. De Los Santos was 2 for 4 with an RBI single. 2B Wyatt Sanford (.248) was 3 for 4 with a walk. RHP Carlos Castillo (2-4, 4.17) threw five innings, allowing two unearned runs with two walks and five strikeouts to earn the win. RHP Owen Kellington (4.32) threw three shutout innings of relief with five strikeouts.
