RF Ryan Vilade (.272) was 2 for 4 with a double and an RBI. 2B Domingo Leyba (.400) was 2 for 5 with an RBI. CF Chris Owings (.244) added an RBI. C Jason Delay (.318) was 2 for 4. RHP Andre Jackson (3.72) allowed two runs on three hits with two walks and five strikeouts. LHP Kent Emanuel (7-4, 6.24) took the loss after allowing three runs on four hits with a walk and three strikeouts in two innings of relief.

ALTOONA (Double-A, 44-45) scored four times in the sixth inning in a 5-3 win over Harrisburg (Nationals). 3B Jackson Glenn (.259) smacked a three-run homer. SS Tsung-Che Cheng (.232) had an RBI double. LF Matt Fraizer (.248) also knocked in a run. 2B Mike Jarvis (.474) was 3 for 4. LHP Anthony Solometo (2-2, 3.14) allowed two runs on five hits with a walk and five strikeouts in five innings to earn the win. RHP Justin Meis (5.59), a Bethel Park grad, earned the save after allowing a run on two hits with two walks and three strikeouts in three innings of relief.

GREENSBORO (High-A, 47-43) edged Winston-Salem (White Sox), 6-5. LF Will Matthiessen (.247) hit an inside-the-park home run, his 12th homer of the season. He was 2 for 4 with four RBIs and now has 49 for the season. CF Tres Gonzalez (.283) hit a solo homer. 2B/3B Jack Brannigan (.286) was 2 for 4 with a triple and solo home run. RHP Joshua Loeschorn (1-0, 10.13) allowed three runs on five hits with a walk and four strikeouts in 2 2/3 innings and earned the win in relief.

BRADENTON (Low-A, 53-39) was crushed by St. Lucie (Mets), 17-3. 3B/1B Jesus Castillo (.221) hit a solo homer. DH Nick Cimillo (.276), SS Yordany De Los Santos (.228) and PH/1B/P Juan Jerez (.143) also had hits. RHP Alessandro Ercolani (4-5, 4.50) took the loss after allowing three runs on two hits with two walks and two strikeouts in 2/3 of an inning.
