Pirates farm report for July 29, 2025: Johan Oviedo strikes out 5, Cam Devanney homers in Indy victory

INDIANAPOLIS (Triple-A, 62-40) scored four runs in the seventh inning and edged Iowa (Cubs), 5-3. 3B Cam Devanney (.275) was 2 for 3 with a solo homer and two runs scored. LF Ronny Simon (.300) was 2 for 5 with two RBIs. DH Nick Solak (.371) was 2 for 5 with an RBI. SS Jared Triolo (.250) was 1 for 4 with an RBI and run scored. RF Nick Yorke (.273) was 1 for 4 with a run scored. RHP Johan Oviedo (1.80) made a rehab start and allowed one run on two hits with five strikeouts in five innings. RHP Dauri Moreta (3-0, 2.64) earned the win after 1 1/3 innings of no-hit relief with two strikeouts. RHP Cam Sanders (2.16) earned his second save of the season with a clean inning of relief.

ALTOONA (Double-A, 46-50) lost 4-3 to Portland (Red Sox). 2B Termarr Johnson (.252) was 3 for 5 with a run scored. RF Esmerlyn Valdez (.170) was 1 for 3 with two walks and two RBIs. C Omar Alfonzo (.175) doubled. DH Nick Cimillo (.219) was 1 for 3 with two walks. RHP Alessandro Ercolani (3.74) threw four scoreless innings, allowing two hits with three walks and four strikeouts. RHP Justin Meis (2-3, 2.74) took the loss after giving up a homer in 1 1/3 innings of relief.

GREENSBORO (High-A, 68-28) got the best of Rome (Braves), 5-1. SS Konnor Griffin (.328) and DH Shalin Polanco (.238) each went 2 for 4 with a double and run scored. 2B Keiner Delgado (.248) tripled in a run. CF Lonnie White Jr. (.223) was 1 for 3 with a triple, walk, RBI and run scored. LF Tres Gonzalez (.273), 3B Javier Rivas (.263) and C Derek Berg (.222) all knocked in a run. RHP Carlson Reed (1-2, 4.75) earned the win after allowing one run on four hits with two walks and three strikeouts in five innings.

RHP David Matoma (0-2, 4.40) took the loss after giving up two runs (one earned) on two hits in two innings of relief.
