Pirates farm report for July 3, 2025: Konnor Griffin blasts 3-run homer for Greensboro
INDIANAPOLIS (Triple-A, 48-35) obliterated Louisville (Reds), 11-3. LF Ronny Simon (.309) went 1 for 3 with his sixth homer and two walks. 2B Nick Solak (.372) went 3 for 6 with two runs scored. DH Jack Suwinski (.264) went 2 for 3 with three walks and three runs scored. 1B Malcom Nunez (.315) went 2 for 4 with a double, walk, two runs scored and three RBIs. C Shawn Ross (.250) went 1 for 4 with two RBIs. 3B Alika Williams (.261) went 1 for 5 with a double and two RBIs. RHP Sean Sullivan (4.61) started and went three innings, giving up two runs on four hits. LHP Randy Labaut (3-1, 5.02) followed with three scoreless innings to earn the win. RHP Ryder Ryan (3.96) threw a scoreless inning.

ALTOONA (Double-A, 38-39) beat Harrisburg (Nationals), 4-2, on a walk-off two-run home run by 1B Nick Cimillo (.222) in the bottom of the 11th inning. CF Mitch Jebb (.260) went 1 for 4 with an RBI and two stolen bases, running his season total to 21. 3B Kervin Pichardo (.235) went 1 for 3 with two walks and an RBI. RF Jase Bowen (.272) went 2 for 4 with a double and run scored. RHP Alessandro Ercolani (4.14) started and went five innings, allowing two runs on five hits, including a homer. LHP Tyler Samaniego (0.00), RHP Wilkin Ramos (1.66) and RHP Brandan Bidois (0.00) each pitched two scoreless innings of relief.

GREENSBORO (High-A, 54-23) slammed Aberdeen (Orioles), 9-5. SS Konnor Griffin (.329) went 1 for 4 with a three-run homer, his 13th of the season and fourth with Greensboro. LF PJ Hilson (.246) went 2 for 2 with his sixth homer and two walks. CF Will Taylor (.242) went 1 for 4 with a double, a run scored and his fourth stolen base. RF Lonnie White Jr. (.241) went 1 for 2 with a walk, two runs scored and his 17th stolen base. 3B Javier Rivas (.281) went 1 for 4 with an RBI. C Geovanny Planchart (.150) went 1 for 3 with a double. RHP Po-Yu Chen (4-3, 5.83) started and went five innings, allowing two runs on four hits, including a homer, to pick up the win. He struck out five. RHP Jack Carey (3.65) pitched a scoreless ninth.

RHP Carlos Castillo (4.32) started and went five innings, allowing two runs, both unearned, on four hits with one walk and seven strikeouts. Three relievers combined to give up seven runs over the next four innings.
