Pirates farm report for July 30, 2025: 3 hits from Esmerlyn Valdez, Jase Bowen lift Curve to win

INDIANAPOLIS (Triple-A, 62-41) dropped a 5-2 decision to Iowa (Cubs). CF Billy Cook (.245) knocked in a run. DH Ronny Simon (.300) was 1 for 4 with a run scored. LF Matt Fraizer (.286) was 1 for 3 with a walk and run scored. RF Nick Solak (.369) was 1 for 4. 3B Cam Devanney (.275) went 1 for 4 with a strikeout. 2B Alika Williams (.262) was 1 for 3. RHP Bubba Chandler (5-4, 3.58) took the loss after giving up five runs on five hits with four walks and two strikeouts in 5 1/3 innings.

ALTOONA (Double-A, 47-50) cruised past Portland (Red Sox), 6-2. DH Esmerlyn Valdez (.212) and LF Jase Bowen (.252) each had three hits. Bowen had two doubles and also stole home. CF Mitch Jebb (.255) and C Aaron McKeithan (.188) each walked twice and had an RBI. SS Maikol Escotto (.133) plated one run. RHP Emmanuel Chapman (2.92) set down the first 11 batters he faced and allowed no walks and two walks with four strikeouts in 3 2/3 innings. LHP Blake Townsend (4-2, 0.93) earned the win after allowing one hit with a walk and four strikeouts in 2 1/3 innings of relief.

GREENSBORO (High-A, 69-28) routed Rome (Braves), 5-1. 3B Javier Rivas (.268) was 3 for 5 with two RBIs. SS Konnor Griffin (.323) went 1 for 5 with a double, RBI and run scored. RF Titus Dumitru (.251) was 2 for 5 with a double and run scored. C Geovanny Planchart (.190) went 2 for 4 with an RBI. RHP Khristian Curtis (6-4, 4.35) earned the win after allowing one run on four hits with two strikeouts in 5 2/3 innings.

BRADENTON (Low-A, 45-52) edged Fort Myers (Twins), 4-3. 3B Jhonny Severino (.202), 2B Wyatt Sanford (.245) and DH Tony Blanco Jr. (.278) all homered. Blanco, was 2 for 4 with two RBIs. C Richard Ramirez (.265) doubled and walked. RHP Clevari Tejada (4.11) allowed two runs on no hits with six walks and two strikeouts in four innings. RHP Alexis Torres (3-1, 3.06) picked up the win after three no-hit innings of relief with two strikeouts.
