Pirates farm report for July 4, 2025: Bubba Chandler throws 6 scoreless for Indianapolis
INDIANAPOLIS (Triple-A, 49-35) knocked around Louisville (Reds), 8-1. RHP Bubba Chandler (3-2, 3.07) got back on track with his best start since the end of May, throwing six scoreless innings, allowing five hits and two walks with six strikeouts. RHP Colin Holderman (12.00), on a rehab assignment for a thumb injury, recorded two outs and gave up a run on two hits and a walk. RHP Burch Smith (7.64) threw 1⅓ scoreless innings and RHP Eddy Yean (2.75) pitched a scoreless ninth.SS Tsung Che-Cheng (.217) went 2 for 4 with a double, run scored and four RBIs. LF Billy Cook (.269) went 2 for 5 with two doubles and a run scored. DH Matt Fraizer (.275) went 2 for 3 with a double, walk and two runs scored. 3B Nick Yorke (.275) went 1 for 4 with a triple and an RBI. RF Ji Hwan Bae (.258) went 1 for 4 with a walk, run scored, RBI and two stolen bases.

ALTOONA (Double-A, 39-39) took care of Harrisburg (Nationals), 5-1. RHP Antwone Kelly (2-0, 0.84) started and pitched 5 ⅔ scoreless innings, allowing two hits and one walk with six strikeouts. RHP Ryan Harbin (0.00) pitched 1⅓ scoreless innings. RHP Justin Meis (2.48) gave up one run on two hits in two innings to finish it off. C Omar Alfonzo (.400) went 2 for 3 with a double and his first Double-A homer. 2B Termarr Johnson (.260) went 2 for 3 with a walk and two runs scored. SS Kerwin Pichardo (.235) went 1 for 4 with his seventh homer.

GREENSBORO (High-A, 55-23) used three pitchers to throw a perfect game and beat Aberdeen (Orioles), 2-0. RHP Khristian Curtis (3-4, 4.70) started and went six innings, striking out 10. RHP Jake Shirk (1.80) punched out four in two innings. RHP Michael Walsh (2.48) struck out two in the ninth for his fourth save. The hitting star was LF Titus Dumitru (.236), who went 2 for 4 with his fourth homer. Dumitru was acquired from the Braves for pitcher Hunter Stratton on Tuesday. SS Konnor Griffin (.325) went 1 for 4 with a run scored. DH Will Taylor (.246) went 1 for 3 with an RBI.

DH Wyatt Sanford (.223) went 2 for 4 with two walks, two runs scored, two RBIs and a stolen base. CF Edward Florentino (.293) went 2 for 5 with two doubles, a run scored, stolen base and three RBIs. 3B Jhonny Severino (.198) went 2 for 6 with a run scored and two RBIs. LHP Victor Cabreja (7-1, 2.70) started and went six innings, allowing one unearned run on two hits. RHP Dariel Francia (1.23) threw two scoreless with four walks and five strikeouts. RHP Adolfo Oviedo (6.23) pitched a scoreless ninth.
