Pirates farm report for July 6, 2025: Konnor Griffin collects 3 hits, steals 40th base of season

INDIANAPOLIS (Triple-A, 50-36) outslugged Louisville (Reds), 13-11. LF Jack Suwinski (.280) went 4 for 4 with his 12th homer, a double, walk, two runs scored and three RBIs. 2B Nick Yorke (.278) went 2 for 5 with a double, two runs scored and three RBIs. 3B Liover Peguero (.247) went 2 for 5 with two RBIs. CF Ji Hwan Bae (.268) went 2 for 4 with a walk and three runs scored. 1B Nick Solak (.365) went 1 for 4 with a walk, his sixth stolen base and four runs scored. RHP Drake Fellows (5.33) started and went three innings, allowing two runs on one hit and two walks with four strikeouts. RHP Burch Smith (2-0, 7.36) got the last two outs of the fifth to pick up the win. RHP Yoahn Ramirez pitched a scoreless ninth for his seventh save. LHP Nick Dombkowski (5.96) and RHP Michael Darrell-Hicks (6.00) each gave up three runs.

ALTOONA (Double-A, 39-41) mustered three hits in a 2-0 loss to Harrisburg (Nationals). SS Kervin Pichardo (.234) went 1 for 2 with a double and a walk. CF Sammy Siani (.206) went 1 for 4 with his second stolen base and RF Esmerlyn Valdez (.235) went 1 for 3. LHP Blake Townsend (1-2, 1.38) started and lasted 3⅓ innings, allowing two runs, one earned, on four hits and no walks with one strikeout. RHP Emmanuel Chapman (3.27) pitched 2⅔ no-hit innings and RHP Brandan Bidois (0.00) finished it up with two no-hit innings.

GREENSBORO (High-A, 56-24) drilled Aberdeen (Orioles), 13-7. SS Javier Rivas (.287) went 4 for 5 with a walk, double, his 17th homer, three runs scored and four RBIs. DH Konnor Griffin (.322) went 3 for 6 with a double, two runs scored and two RBIs. He stole three bases to run his total to 40 for the season, 26 with Bradenton and 14 with Greensboro. LF Will Taylor (.234) went 1 for 4 with two walks, a run scored and two RBIs. 1B Derek Berg (.091) went 1 for 4 with a triple, run scored and RBI. 2B Jesus Castillo (.258) went 2 for 5 with a run scored. CF PJ Hilson (.239) went 1 for 5 with a run scored and two RBIs. 3B Keiner Delgado (.247) went 1 for 5 with a walk and two runs scored. RHP Carlson Reed (5.57) started and was tagged for five runs on four hits, including two homers, in 1⅔ innings. RHP Joshua Loeschorn (1-0, 0.00) pitched a scoreless fourth to pick up the win. RHP JP Massey (7.26) pitched two innings and RHP Michael Walsh (2.41), RHP Jack Carey (3.55) and RHP Landon Tomkins (2.27) each pitched an inning without allowing a hit.

BRADENTON (Low-A, 39-41) lost 7-5 to Fort Myers (Twins). CF Edward Florentino (.286) went 2 for 4 with his second and third homers. SS Wyatt Sanford (.245) went 2 for 3 with a double, triple, his 14th stolen base, two runs scored and an RBI. 1B Richard Ramirez (.235) went 2 for 3 with a walk and his first stolen base. The Marauders used seven pitchers, none for more than two innings. RHP Zander Mueth (7.71), RHP Alexis Torres (3.80) and RHP Greiber Mendez (3.83) started with two scoreless innings each. RHP Jack Noble (4.50) and RHP Jonawel Valdez (4.34) each followed with a scoreless frame. RHP Jose Garces (4.08) was touched up for six runs, three earned, on three hits and a walk. He recorded one out.
