INDIANAPOLIS (Triple-A, 40-44) got past Memphis (Cardinals), 2-1. RHP JC Flowers (9.10) worked as an opener, pitching a scoreless first. RHP Jared Jones (1-1) followed and threw four innings, allowing one run on one hit and two walks with seven strikeouts, to earn the win. LHP Jose Hernandez (0.00) pitched the sixth, RHP Andre Jackson (0.00) the seventh and eighth, and RHP Colin Selby (3.86) worked a scoreless ninth for his fourth save. 2B Alika Williams (.287) went 2 for 4 with a double, a run scored and an RBI. CF Ryan Vilade (.272) went 2 for 4 with an RBI. LF Miguel Andujar (.357) also went 2 for 4. 3B Vinny Capra (.244) went 2 for 3 with a run scored. SS Liover Peguero (.444) went 1 for 3 with a stolen base.

Next: Saturday vs. Memphis (Cardinals), 7:05 p.m.

ALTOONA (Double-A, 38-40) took an 8-2 lead and held on for an 8-7 win over Erie (Tigers). The Curve pounded out 17 hits. 3B Jackson Glenn (.294) went 3 for 4 with a double, a walk, a stolen base, two runs scored and an RBI. LF Matt Fraizer (.252) went 3 for 4 with a double, a walk, two stolen bases, two runs scored and an RBI. SS Tsung Che-Cheng (.208) went 2 for 4 with a triple. DH Jacob Gonzalez (.255) went 2 for 4 with a double and two RBIs. 2B Claudio Finol (.232) went 2 for 4 with two doubles, a run scored and an RBI. RHP Aaron Shortridge (5-5, 4.91) started and went seven innings, allowing two runs on four hits with five strikeouts, to pick up the win. LHP Braeden Ogle (5.22) gave up two runs on no hits in the ninth to record his second save.

Next: Saturday vs. Erie (Tigers), 6 p.m.

GREENSBORO (High-A, 39-38) got a two-run walk-off single from RF Luke Brown (.164) in the bottom of the ninth to beat Aberdeen (Orioles), 5-4. Brown also hit his second homer. DH Tres Gonzalez (.277) went 3 for 5 with his fourth homer. CF Travis Swaggerty (.333) working his way back from an illness, went 1 for 3 with a triple. RHP Thomas Harrington (3.98) started and went six innings, allowing one run on five hits and two walks with five strikeouts. RHP Dante Mendoza (4-2, 3.03) allowed one unearned run in two innings to pick up the win. He gave up three hits and a walk and fanned four.

Next: Saturday vs. Aberdeen (Orioles), 6:30 p.m.

BRADENTON (Low-A, 44-34) scored five runs in the sixth to beat Daytona (Reds), 9-5. DH Josiah Sightler (.571) went 4 for 4 with a double and his third home run. He walked, scored twice and drove in a pair. C Geovanny Planchart (.244) went 2 for 4 with two runs scored and two RBIs. 1B Alexander Mojica (.227) went 1 for 3 with a double, two walks and two runs scored. RHP Derek Diamond (4.26) started and earned the win, giving up five runs on seven hits and two walks in six innings. He struck out five. RHP Brandan Bidois (3.86) pitched a scoreless seventh and LHP Yoldin De La Paz (5.59) threw two scoreless innings to close it out.
