Pirates farm report for July 8, 2025: Thomas Harrington throws 6 strong innings for Indy
INDIANAPOLIS (Triple-A, 51-36) knocked around Gwinnett (Braves), 8-1. RHP Thomas Harrington started and went six innings, allowing one unearned run on two hits with two walks and two strikeouts. RHP Dauri Moreta (3.38), RHP Eddy Yean (2.68) and RHP Kyle Nicolas (3.95) each pitched a scoreless inning of relief. 3B Liover Peguero (.247) went 1 for 4 with his fifth homer. C Brett Sullivan (.202) went 2 for 4 with his second home run. SS Tsung-Che Cheng (.216) went 1 for 3 with a two-run homer, his first. LF Ronny Simon (.315) went 3 for 5 with a double, two stolen bases and two runs scored. CF Ji Hwan Bae (.282) went 3 for 4 with a double, triple, run scored, RBI and two stolen bases.

ALTOONA (Double-A, 39-42) was clobbered by Binghamton (Mets), 16-3. RHP Po-Yu Chen (2-7, 5.53) started and lasted three innings, giving up nine runs on 11 hits, including one homer, with one walk and no strikeouts. LHP Tyler Samaniego (9.00) got two outs and allowed five runs on four hits and two walks. SS Brenden Dixon pitched, giving up a home run before getting the final out of the eighth. CF Mitch Jebb (.259) went 2 for 4 with his 22nd stolen base and a run scored. C Omar Alfonzo (.286) went 1 for 4 with two RBIs. 3B Duce Gourson (.179) went 1 for 4 with a double and run scored.

GREENSBORO (High-A, 56-25) lost 4-2 to Bowling Green (Rays). C Derek Berg (.143) went 1 for 3 with his first homer. CF Titus Dumitru (.236) went 2 for 4 with a double. DH Shalin Polanco (.216) went 1 for 4 with an RBI and his sixth stolen base. LHP Julian Bosnic (4.00) started and pitched two no-hit innings with three walks and four strikeouts. RHP Hung-Leng Chang (4-4, 5.70) pitched the next three innings, allowing one run on three hits, to take the loss. RHP Jack Carey (3.43) threw 1⅓ no-hit innings and RHP Carlos Jimenez (4.54) and RHP Jaycob Deese (4.13) each pitched a scoreless frame.

BRADENTON (Low-A, 40-41) took care of St. Lucie (Mets), 11-4. LHP Ryan Borucki, beginning a rehab assignment as he recovers from a back injury, started and worked a perfect first inning. RHP Clevari Tejada (4-4, 4.13) pitched six scoreless innings, allowing two hits and one walk with five strikeouts, to earn the win. RF Ian Farrow (.263) went 3 for 4 with a double, his fifth homer, three runs scored and two RBIs. CF Edward Florentino (.302) went 2 for 4 with a three-run homer, his fourth, two runs scored and his seventh stolen base. C Richard Ramirez (.289) went 3 for 4 with a three-run homer, his second. 3B Ethan Lege (.223) went 2 for 3 with a double, two runs scored and two RBIs.
