Pirates farm report for June 10, 2021: Aaron Shackelford drives in 5 for Greensboro

INDIANAPOLIS (Triple-A, 16-16) fell 6-3 to Nashville (Brewers). The Sounds scored five runs in the bottom of the seventh off relievers Austin Davis and Tyler Bashlor. Beau Sulser started and pitched five innings, allowing one run on three hits with six strikeouts and two walks. LF Anthony Alford and 1B Will Craig had a single and double each. Alford drove in two runs and Craig had an RBI. SS Cole Tucker was 1 for 3 with a single and a run scored.

ALTOONA (Double-A, 20-11) and Akron (Indians) were postponed due to inclement weather. The game will be made up as part of a doubleheader on Saturday.

GREENSBORO (High A, 17-15) won 8-2 over Hickory (Rangers). The Grasshoppers plated five runs in the fifth and three in the seventh. 2B Aaron Shackelford had a bases-clearing double in the fifth and a two-run double in the seventh for a five-RBI night. RF Lolo Sanchez belted a solo homer in the fifth, had a pair of RBIs and stole his seventh base of the season. SS Liover Peguero singled, doubled and scored two runs. LF Matthew Frazier singled twice to raise his batting average to .321. DH Fabricio Macias doubled. Michael Burrows started and went five innings, allowing a run on two hits and had seven strikeouts to earn his first win of the season. Austin Roberts pitched two scoreless innings in relief.

BRADENTON (Low A, 21-12) won 10-5 over Daytona (Reds). The Marauders scored four runs in the bottom of the eighth inning to break the game open. The eighth was highlighted by a two-run double by 1B Ernny Ordonez. Ordonez was 2 for 3 with three RBIs and is batting .273 on the year. RF Sammy Siani doubled and swiped his fourth base. 3B Dariel Lopez singled twice. Eddy Yean started and pitched 3⅓ innings, allowing three earned runs on five hits with seven strikeouts and one walk. Sergio Umana pitched 2⅓ innings of scoreless relief with four strikeouts.
