Pirates farm report for June 12, 2025: Konnor Griffin collects 2 hits for 3rd straight game with Greensboro

INDIANAPOLIS (Triple-A, 37-28) swept a doubleheader from St. Paul (Twins).

In the first game, a 6-2 Indianapolis win, DH Jack Suwinski (.248) went 1 for 3 with a three-run homer, his eighth. C Joey Bart (.500), rehabbing from a concussion, went 1 for 2 with two walks and two RBIs. LF Ronny Simon went 1 for 2 with a double, walk, run scored and RBI. LHP Hunter Barco (1-1, 4.32) started and went five innings, allowing one run on three hits with two walks and three strikeouts. RHP Yohan Ramirez (4.37) allowed one unearned run on three hits over two innings to pick up his fourth save.

In the second game, a 5-0 Indianapolis win, RHP Drake Fellows started and pitched four no-hit innings with six strikeouts. RHP Dauri Moreta (1-0, 3.55) pitched a scoreless fifth with two strikeouts to pick up the win. RHP Eddy Yean (3.04) finished it off with two scoreless innings with two strikeouts. CF Liover Peguero (.238) went 1 for 3 with a two-run homer, his third. 1B Billy Cook (.267) went 2 for 3 with a run scored and two RBIs. Simon (.324) went 1 for 4 with a walk, a run scored and two stolen bases.

Next: Friday vs. St. Paul (Twins), 7:05 p.m.

ALTOONA (Double-A, 26-34) pounded out 13 hits in a 10-6 win over Erie (Tigers). 3B Jack Brannigan (.227) went 2 for 5 with a two-run homer, his fifth, and his ninth stolen base. He finished with four RBIs. CF Hudson Head (.111) went 3 for 4 with his first homer, a two-run shot, his first stolen base and three runs scored. LF Imanol Vargas (.193) went 1 for 4 with his first homer, a two-run blast. SS Maikol Escotto (.152) went 2 for 4 with a run scored and RBI. RHP Jarod Bayless (5.04) started and went 3 ⅔ innings, allowing three runs, one earned, on three hits, including a homer. RHP Emmanuel Chapman (5-1, 3.34) allowed one run on two hits in 2⅓ innings to pick up the win.

Next: Friday vs. Erie (Tigers), 6 p.m.

GREENSBORO (High-A, 40-19) gave up two hits in a 4-0 win over Rome (Braves). LHP Connor Wietgrefe (1-2, 5.45) started and went five innings, allowing one hit and striking out five. RHP JP Massey (9.39) pitched two no-hit innings. RHP Jack Carey (4.25) pitched two scoreless for his first save. SS Konnor Griffin (.400) went 2 for 5 for the third straight game, scoring and driving in a run. LF Will Taylor (.333) went 2 for 4 with a double and his first homer, a two-run shot. DH Esmerlyn Valdez (.294) went 2 for 4 with a double and an RBI. C Geovanny Planchart (.116) went 1 for 4 with a double and a run scored. 3B Javier Rivas (.283) wore the golden sombrero, going 0 for 4 with four strikeouts.

Next: Friday at Rome (Braves), 7 p.m.

BRADENTON (Low-A, 28-32) gave up four runs in the top of the 10th to lose 5-2 to Jupiter (Marlins). 3M Malcom Nunez (.333) went 1 for 3 with a double and an RBI. 2B Yordany De Los Santos (.241) went 2 for 4 with a double. RHP Peyton Stumbo (4.50) started and lasted five innings, allowing one run on two hits with two walks and five strikeouts. RHP Jonawel Valdez (3.41) followed with four innings of one-hit scoreless relief. RHP Jose Garces did not record an out and gave up four runs, three earned, on two hits and a walk to take the loss.

Next: Friday vs. Jupiter (Marlins), 6:30 p.m.
