Pirates farm report for June 13, 2023: Henry Davis hits 1st Triple-A homer

INDIANAPOLIS (Triple-A, 29-33) took care of Iowa (Cubs), 7-4. C Henry Davis (.227) went 1 for 5 with his first Triple-A homer, a two-run shot. 3B Jared Triolo (.266) went 3 for 4 with a double and a solo homer, his first. 2B Nick Gonzales (.254) went 2 for 3 with two walks and an RBI. CF Ryan Vilade (.285) went 2 for 3 with two runs scored. RHP Quinn Priester (7-3, 4.29) started and went 6.2 innings,allowing two runs, one earned, on four hits and four walks with five strikeouts. RHP Carmen Mlodzinski (3.16) pitched a scoreless ninth for his first save.

Next: Wednesday at Iowa (Cubs), 1:08 p.m.

ALTOONA (Double-A, 30-26) got drilled by Somerset (Yankees), 8-4. C Abrahan Gutierrez (.273) went 2 for 4 with his second home run. SS Liover Peguero (.269) went 1 for 5 with his seventh home run. 3B Claudio Finol (.246) went 2 for 4 with a run scored. RHP Brad Case (2.04) started and went three innings, allowing two runs, one earned, on four hits with four strikeouts. LHP Omar Cruz (3.12) gave up three runs on two hits and two walks in 1.2 innings. LHP Braeden Ogle (5.06) pitched 1.1 scoreless innings and RHP Cameron Junker (2.22) threw a scoreless frame.

Next: Wednesday at Somerset (Yankees), 6:35 p.m.

GREENSBORO (High-A, 32-24) clobbered Greenville (Red Sox), 12-2. 3B Brenden Dixon (.187) went 2 for 3 with a two-run homer, his third, and two walks. 1B Will Matthiessen (.271) went 1 for 5 with a two-run homer, his seventh. CF Tres Gonzalez (.239) went 1 for 4 with a double and two RBIs. SS Tsung-Che Cheng (.315) went 3 for 5 with a double, an RBI and two runs scored. RF Jase Bowen (.230), C Wyatt Hendrie (.231) and LF Sammy Sianni (.235) each had two hits. RHP Bubba Chandler (3-2, 6.36) started and have up one run on one hit in five innings, striking out eight. LHP Mitchell Miller (5.06), RHP Dante Mendoza (3.67) and RHP Yunior Thibo (0.00) each pitched a scoreless inning.

BRADENTON (Low-A, 29-28) was trounced by Fort Myers (Twins), 9-3. LF Enmanuel Terrero (.314) went 3 for 4 with a homer, his third, and two stolen bases, running his total for the season to 15. DH Rodolfo Nolasco (.250) went 2 for 4 with a home run, his sixth. 3B Jesus Castillo (.229) went 1 for 2 with a run scored and two walks. RHP Owen Kellington (5.08) gave up four runs on three hits and two walks as the Marauders lost a bullpen game. RHP Owen Sharts (4.50) pitched 1.2 scoreless innings. RHP Brandan Bidois (2.25) and RHP Ryan Harbin (1.13) each threw a scoreless frame.
